The most common term any ghost hunter will hear is this is an Intelligent haunt or residual haunt. The residual haunt is described as looking at an event. This could be a lady walking up a stair case, watching a man walk through a door or various other scenario. You cannot speak to it, hear it nor can the event taking place do the same with you. Most believe that a residual haunt cannot be removed. It is forever locked into that location. So the question is….is it a real ghost?
Let us break that down into a different mindset. If we look at all of the various theories out there including Einstein’s theory of relativity we have to take many things into account now. Could this residual be a rip in the fabric of time? We are actually seeing into the past at an event that is taking place right at that moment. Einstein believed that the past, present and future are all running on parallel dimensions. That means that the past, present and future are moving at the same time. The world has already ended. The past is already over and we are in the middle of the present. So if he is correct that makes the residual not even a haunt at all. Mind blowing right? Now let us take that a step further. I will recall an investigation that was done and one of the individuals heard their own name. Now most would say “That’s amazing!!” or is it even more mind blowing that it may not be a ghost at all saying the name but actually our future self? Could we be communicating with ourselves from the future or could future individuals be communicating with us in the present? Someone from the year 4555 if the world is still around could be looking back on us as we look at an event from 1880. The question would beg then, if we can see possibly into the past then why can’t we see into the future the same way. The past has happened for us in the present yet the future has not so one theory is that possibly we can to a degree and that is what those blurry, dark, white or misty images are that many see.
Let us look at an experiment that took place in the 1980s. The US Government want to create a device that could record voices of individuals that were no longer there. Here’s an example. We found a safe house of a terrorist group. They left it abandoned. Those individual’s voices are still within the walls of that building. They coined the term “reverb”. Now with a device we could go into that location and actually record those voices and find out what their current and future plans are. There was also a push to record historical events like the signing of the declaration of independence along with various other never before recorded moments. A contracted scientist reportedly made it happen. The only problem is there was no definite proof of who was saying what especially with historical voices that no one living knows what they sounded like. What does this have to do with ghost hunting right? Is it possible that those odd, mumbled, random voices that are captured on voice recorders are not ghost at all? They are reverb from decades and even a century of people talking in that location and those words are constantly bouncing back and forth. This was proven with NASA sending recordings of officials sending radio signals into space telling anyone who could hear that we are peaceful and what our earth’s location is. Those officials were very much alive as their voices traveled at light speed through space. Not a ghost at all.
Now that does not explain all of the other various things that happen with spirits but as amateur scientist we cannot leave out any possibility and just run into locations thinking that everything is the afterlife with cool equipment that lights up and makes noises. That’s not being responsible.
